COMPETITION: Locate the TUS Hotspot
To celebrate the launch of the k-Plan Ultrasound Therapy Planning software, we are giving away a free registration for one person to join us at our 2022 Introduction to Transcranial Focused Ultrasound workshop.
The workshop, which will take place in April 2022, is designed to provide attendees with an introduction to Transcranial-focused ultrasound neuromodulation and an overview of the current position of the technique in non-invasive brain stimulation research; in-depth examinations and reviews of the safety of tFUS for both animal and human uses; practical demonstrations of tFUS systems; interactive software demonstrations and computational modelling sessions; and tips, tricks, and Q&A sessions to help delegates plan their own future studies.
The Competition
In order to enter the competition, attendees should download the image below showing a k-Plan simulated image of a TUS transducer placed above a subject's head. The image should then be marked with your best guess as to where the hotspot of the ultrasound stimulation would be located within the brain.
Please click the image above to access a larger version. Once you have made your choice and marked the image, please submit your entry via email to info@brainbox-initiative.com by no later than December 31, 2021.
Selecting a Winner
The winner will be selected by means of comparing all submissions to the actual simulated image of TUS stimulation, with the closest estimation to this location winning the workshop registration. If two or more entries happen to choose the same location, the winner will be selected at random from this pool.
Winners will be contacted in January 2022 to arrange their workshop registration.
