Brainbox are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, with relevant experience to take an exciting and rare opportunity to join a globally renowned neuroscience solutions provider. An ideal opportunity has arisen for someone early in their marketing career to join our team as Marketing Executive.

This role offers a great deal of autonomy, so someone who is comfortable with working on their own initiative would fit the bill perfectly. You will be expected to recruit members of the wider team and their knowledge to support creation of technical content and material.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Marketing Executive reports to our Commercial Director; roles and responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Creation and publishing of digital content and managing content outlets – currently the Brainbox and Brainbox Initiative websites, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.
  • Ensuring websites and content are kept fresh, up to date; and performing well in line with best SEO practises.
  • Liaise with our web agency to fix website issues and to plan ad-hoc developments, as required.
  • Development and distribution of regular e-mail campaigns, including sourcing and creating content.
  • Creation of marketing collateral in line with marketing plans and product needs including (but not limited to) writing copy for web, emails, brochures and factsheets, occasional print and online adverts, and display materials.
  • Liaise with our graphic designer, exhibition hardware suppliers, print suppliers, and other external service providers to produce marketing collateral and content.
  • Researching and organising our presence at exhibitions and conferences both in the UK and internationally, and in some cases attending and representing the company at those events.
  • Organising and managing product and technique workshops and webinars.
  • Organising and managing the annual Brainbox Initiative Conference, both online and in person.
  • Measuring and analysing marketing and communications performance using analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Data Studio, and other relevant performance measurement options.
  • Creation, implementation and development of marketing plans to support launch of products and services in collaboration with other team members.
  • Management and handling of company PR.
  • Project management and ongoing management of marketing campaigns.
  • Segmentation of data from CRM to support marketing efforts and inform business decisions.
  • Create and actively manage image library.
  • Monthly reporting of marketing performance against KPIs at the company’s communication meeting and contributing to other areas of the business that are also discussed.
  • Other activities that may be requested by senior managers.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree or at least 18 months of experience in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience in generating content for a range of platforms, including website, print material and social media.
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience of search engine optimisation.
  • Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design software.
  • Experience in using video editing software.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Full drivers license.
  • CIM qualification or ability to demonstrate working towards a CIM qualification is desirable.
  • Previous experience using a CRM system is desirable.
