Now Hiring: Marketing Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Marketing Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time, office-based role, located at our headquarters in Cardiff. While occasional travel may be required for events, the primary place of work will be our office.
The Marketing Assistant will support the marketing team in coordinating events, creating content, and managing marketing activities to promote Brainbox Ltd and its operating division The Science Behind. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment at the forefront of neuroscience research technology.
This is a full-time, office-based role, located at our headquarters in Cardiff.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate Brainbox’s attendance at international conferences, ensuring seamless logistics for exhibition spaces, company registrations, and equipment packing.
- Manage the organisation of Brainbox Initiative workshops, including scheduling, venue sourcing, participant registration, and speaker coordination.
- Assist in the planning and execution of the Brainbox Initiative Conference, handling speaker liaison, delegate registration, on-site coordination, and event logistics.
- Assist in creating and publishing digital content while managing content distribution channels.
- Contribute to website content creation and updates, ensuring alignment with best SEO practices.
- Support the development of marketing collateral, including (but not limited to) writing copy for websites, emails, brochures, factsheets, adverts, and display materials.
- Liaise with graphic designers, exhibition suppliers, print vendors, and other external service providers to produce marketing materials.
- Gather feedback and analyse marketing performance metrics to improve processes and effectiveness.
- Carry out additional tasks as requested by senior managers.
Essential Criteria
- Three A-levels at grade C or above (or equivalent), or at least three years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and innovatively.
- Ability to analyse data and extract meaningful insights.
- Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools (Mac experience is a plus).
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks, such as preparing and moving exhibition equipment (training and equipment provided).
- Willingness to travel when required.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design software.
- An understanding of basic marketing principles or a strong willingness to learn.
