Based on revolutionary controllable pulse parameter TMS (cTMS), ElevateTMS gives you unprecedented control and freedom to modify and adapt your TMS pulse width and shape, and allows the amplitude of the second, negative phase of biphasic TMS pulses to be altered relative to the earlier, positive phase.
These new controllable pulse parameters are crucial in allowing researchers to explore how TMS interacts with the brain at the neuronal level, as well as providing a robust, reproducible excitatory or inhibitory effect.
ElevateTMS’ instrument design is inspired by novel work carried out by Dr Angel Peterchev while at Columbia University and features a unique system architecture consisting of two capacitors and a sophisticated switching system.
Unlike traditional TMS devices, ElevateTMS is able to repetitively generate near-rectangular electric field pulses at high frequencies (up to 1kHz) and allows for direct control over pulse width, shape, amplitude, and directionality.
