The neuroConn DC-STIMULATOR PLUS is a tDCS device for non-invasive brain stimulation, using the following transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) techniques:
- tDCS – transcranial direct current stimulation
- tACS – transcranial alternating current stimulation
- tRNS – transcranial random noise stimulation
The DC-STIMULATOR PLUS is one of the most established tES devices on the market used in an extensive list of publications. In addition to standard features such as microprocessor controlled constant current source and double blind sham control, it includes a range of advanced optional features such as analogue signal control, real time signal output and MRI compatibility. The range of options available make the device highly configurable and suitable for a diverse range of applications.
The stimulator meets the highest safety standards thanks to multistage monitoring of the current path using hardware and software. By means of continuously monitoring electrode impedance, the stimulator is able to accurately maintain the user-defined current amplitude while also automatically detecting if there is insufficient contact with the skin. It will automatically terminate stimulation to ensure subject safety.
